Starships

Starships are the primary mode of transport throughout the galaxy. First developed by the Dottians, they exist through the combination of the most advanced technology the various galactic civilisations have to offer. Starships are used for a wide variety of purposes and functions, from combat and industrial mining to commercial or private transport. There are several classes of starships fitted for these purposes, differentiated mainly by their sizes. The current leading starship manufacturer is Sideways Collective Industries, as part of the Symbiote Triangle.

All starships feature a set of primary propulsion engines, supplying the vehicle with a considerable amount of forwards thrust when active. In order to turn and perform various manoeuvres in space's low gravity and frictionless environment, a series of reaction control system (RCS) thrusters are positioned around the starship's frame. These thrusters usually utilise monomethylhydrazine as fuel and dinitrogen tetroxide as an oxidiser, although other combinations of substances have been successfully implemented. For more precise movements and adjustments, some starships are fitted with control moment gyroscope (CMG) systems or even reaction wheels.
