The Fox Corporation Z1 was one of the Fox Corporation's first custom minicoil designs. It was designed for general use in a vast range of situations. Lightweight and portable with its small amount of IW(Z) bullets, the Z1 was used widely as a sidearm in security forces across the galaxy. As a result of its cheap and small framing, the Z1 suffered some issues with durability, often wearing out its barrel and other smaller parts. This meant that while it performed excellently when new, its reliability began to dwindle as it got older. This original Z1 design has been further developed since, becoming the first in the well known series of general use minicoils.
