The Terrina-Ten is a small minicoil pistol independently designed by Fuhrr Terrina for use as a civilian self-defense sidearm. During her career, a spike in Kolban Alliance K-LIEU on-duty investigator deaths prompted Terrina to begin designing a civilian self-defense weapon - small enough to fit in the pocket holster, but large enough to still comply with civilian arms laws. The final product proved popular in systems where civilian gun ownership was legal and was even utilised by some military organisations. The newer T-Ten-L is still produced to this day.
T-Ten-L
A version of the T-Ten with increased size in order to increase the accessibility of the weapon in systems where the concealed weapon size cap is higher. Although it did not increase the projectile capacity, the barrel and other proportions were upsized, providing some additional performance benefits. It was released in 2059.
Controversy
Over the years of its operation, the T-Ten has been the target of some controversies regarding illegal civilian use of firearms in various systems. Debate began when Human Drew Lamotta used the weapon to shoot three others, including one K-ALEC guard, who survived and testified in court about the coilgun's apparent concealment in the suspect's pocket. Although the T-Ten itself was never banned from use, the situation also prompted conversation about other similar types of weapons to begin.
