The Mejir & Cron 3C "Zircon" is a light cycler coilgun and the third product designed independently by the Mejir & Cron weapons manufacturing company. A slow firing but hard hitting light cycler thanks to its use of the IW(W) bullet, the Zircon favours precision and low numbers of targets over the common "spray and pray" tactic often employed with oppositely oriented cycler coilguns.
Consumers were pleased with the cycler's manageable recoil and accuracy, but felt that the weapon was too massive and unwieldy to use in active combat. This led to the Zircon's general use as a supporting coilgun rather than as a frontline fighter. Although it filled in a somewhat small niche, the MC3C was very popular with those who used it.
