The AirShock Model 1 Revision 1 (originally named VX-A1 in prototype stage) is an unconventional infantry-based weapon designed by Vice Development and manufactured by Plurge Weapon Solutions that releases large amounts of controlled energy to create shockwaves of varying strength in the air around it. Due to its nature, the AirShock is to be used exclusively within atmospheric conditions and is unsuitable for use under extreme atmospheric pressures.
Several engineers working at Vice Development who were in charge of the design of the weapon have openly admitted that the M1R1 design is flawed and ultimately inefficient, but that they would continue to work on improving upon it, as it has “great potential”. This was achieved with the AirShock M1R2 and later the AirShock M2R4 models.
