The Generation 1 Fragmentation Grenade was developed by Lance Innovations as a baseline design for future anti-infantry grenades. It features a relatively small effective range of zero to ten metres as well as the now-standard five second fuse time. Despite now being easily outclassed by other more modern grenades, the G1.F - now manufactured by the Fox Corporation - is still widely used as a training model due to its low lethality at longer distances.
