The Fractal Incendiary Ready Explosives C-EX5 grenade is a rare, experimental anti-infantry incendiary grenade being designed by Topman Dynamics based on the FIRE-A4. It makes use of a different fractal pattern to any of the previous FIRE grenades and its effective radius could be adjusted alongside the fuse time.
Further development was hampered by various technical issues related to the aging FIRE platform and was eventually discontinued after funding was cut by the Fox Corporation in favour of searching for other, more modern incendiary platforms. Although the grenade was only privately released to shareholders in batches, some can occasionally be found in small sections of the galaxy.
