The Kinetic Joint Defence Turret - 1H "Killjoy" is an autonomous turret defence system designed and manufactured by Matchik Technologies for use in both combat and extensive security operations. The main speciality of the KJDT-1 series is its interchangeable weapons systems, compatible with a selection of different coilguns. This allows it to switch out coilguns for different situations, or be completely disabled from combat by operators for safety purposes. The Killjoy does not support the use of unconventional modifications.

Due to its small size, the turret uses infrared imaging and a pre-programmed targeting system to identify possible targets, which bases its initial acquisition procedures on manually applied settings. However, this does not mean the Killjoy isn't prone to misfiring upon non-targets or even friendlies - a situation which occurred several times over its time in service. It was eventually replaced by a newer model, the 1L.
