Body Armour is manufactured protective infantry equipment designed to be worn by personnel in combative or otherwise dangerous areas. The exact purpose of it can vary, with some products not intended for use in firefights but rather as protection against passive threats, such as nuclear radiation or general biohazards. Body armour is generally rated by the Kolban Alliance in a dimensionless numbering system, with 0 rated body armour providing little to no additional protection over simple cotton or nylon clothing and 10 rated body armour being almost completely impervious to small arms fire.
