The Out-of-Sight Shell Repeater 1 Usurper I is the first development of the Fox Corporation's Out-of-Sight Shell Repeater artillery series. Designed by Topman Dynamics and a relatively advanced artillery unit for its time, the sudden arrival of the Usurper on battlefields marked a turning point for surface combat. Capable of accurately hitting targets at extremely long ranges out of sight of the naked eye, the Usurper I is used in combination with drones and advanced targeting technology in order to be aimed.
The OSSR-1 was the first modern portable artillery unit capable of firing shells out of clips, allowing for the rapid bombardment of targets. A single clip contains three shells. The fastest time ever to achieve firing all three shells from an Usurper’s clip stands at 7.23 seconds and was achieved during a Cindus live fire exercise.
History
The most notable event involving the Usurper I was during a short war between a criminal Dottian militant group and the Human military, in which three lone Usurpers and a strike aircraft defeated an entire criminal battalion escorting a planetary supercannon, without sustaining any friendly casualties.
