The Space Launched Assault Missile - 9 Radar was an all-aspect active radar homing combat missile designed by the Fox Corporation for use in space during long range starship to starship engagements. Derived from the SLAM-9 platform, the infrared seeker was swapped out for a miniaturised mechanical radar and more fuel was added. This made the missile very heavy and less manoeuvrable, but greatly increased its range, allowing use in many different situations. Although it was powerful and could be used on both starfighters and warships, the slow development of the SLAM family as a whole meant it had already been surpassed by Sideways Collective Industries' DISC series of missiles and the Fox Corporation was unable to reacquire the Kolban Alliance contract.
