The Space Launched Assault Missile - 7 was a limited all-aspect infrared combat missile designed by the Fox Corporation for use in space during starship to starship engagements. This particular upgrade was intended to make the SLAM family even more accurate than the SLAM-6 had been, with a very high relative manoeuvrability and the introduction of Mid-Flight Thrust Pausing, allowing the missile to save additional fuel for its final lineup toward the target. Tested with and without MFTP, it was found that having the ITAS available increased the chances of a clean kill in controlled test environments by as high as 20%.
