The Space Launched Assault Missile - 6 Radar was a front-aspect semi-active radar homing combat missile designed by the Fox Corporation for use in space during starship to starship engagements. Slow accelerating but very long ranged, the SLAM-6R was a breakthrough in terms of long range space engagements. It performed much better on average than its radar predecessor, the SLAM-5, but its high mass meant it was less suited for starfighters in large numbers. Upon its introduction to fleets across the galaxy, starship combat missiles began to be seen on warships in large quantities as well.
