Bombs are a type of explosive ordnance ammunition lacking forward propulsion dropped or guided onto a surface target such as a vehicle or structure. They come with varying amounts of explosive mass, denoted by their relative explosive class, which ranges from 1 (approx. 250 kg equivalent) to 6 (approx. 4000 kg). Although the stereotypical classic bomb is unguided, modern bombs are often guided by laser or by satellite.
