Founded relatively recently by Becca Borfrice, the company was quick to build a solid consumer base in both the public and private medical industries.

Recent announcements from Borfrice Bionics have revealed their intentions to expand their business beyond the medical sector, moving into general application of bionic engineering and implantation. This has been met with considerable pushback. Various experts have argued that it is too early to begin commercialising the bionics industry, as not enough proper research into its long-term cases has been performed.
