Crayter (Celestial Classification CC-001P1) is a Gaian terrestrial planet and the first planet in the Firezin binary star system, located centrally within the Cindus astral territory. Positioned around 0.15 astronomical units away from the two red dwarf stars, it completes one full orbit every 787 hours and one complete rotation every 235 hours. Crayter is most notable as the home planet of the Cindii, one of the intelligent races recognised as part of the Kolban Alliance by the Kolban Pact. The planet's partial red-orange colouration can be attributed to the iron and other mineral contents in much of the soil.
Outside of being the Cindus home planet, Crayter is also home to a plethora of wildlife including both fauna and flora, is a significant trading hub and is also frequently mined for resources. However, the relatively harsh conditions on the surface of the planet such as temperatures and gravity mean foreign visitors regularly require life support systems. As a result, a large portion of the activity around Crayter occurs on board stations orbiting the planet, outside of the rings surrounding it.
